DAY 7 TBILISI – MTSKHETA
– GORI/UPLISTSIKHE - TBILISI
Today’s excursion will take us to
Mtskheta, where we will visit the 6th
century Jvari Monastery and the 11th
century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, both
UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will
then drive to the Gori/Uplistsikhe area
where we will visit Josef Stalin’s birthplace
and the cave city.

On the way back to Tbilisi we will stop at
the Zhivnali Dam to enjoy the panoramic
views, at the Ananuri Fortress and at
Pasanauri, where the White Aragvi and
Black Aragvi rivers meet. Arrival in Tbilisi
and overnight.

DAY 8 TBILISI – GREMI – ALAVERDI
– TBILISI
Departure to visit Gremi and Alaverdi.
In Gremi we will visit the 16th century
fortress located on top of a hill, which
offers wonderful views.
The monument includes the royal citadel
and the church of the Archangels.
We will then drive to Kakheti, east of
